We are fortunate to exhibit our historically themed artwork at the Dalton CVB, located in the renovated freight depot. The show has been well received, and two paintings have been sold...so far. The exhibit will hang until November 30th.
We are a North Georgia unincorporated arts organization providing a venue which encourages creativity and ongoing learning through networking.
Our mission is to further the study and development of the fine arts; to provide opportunities for the promotion and growth of visual artists; and to advocate and encourage an interest in the historical riches and cultural life of the community.
Join us at the "Battle of Tunnel Hill" on September 10 & 11, 2011
Members of the Art Alliance of North Georgia will be painting during the annual Battle of Tunnel Hill Civil War Reenactment on Saturday, September 10th and Sunday, the 11th, 2011. And we are inviting other artists to join us!
The reenactment is held at Holcomb Heritage Park in Tunnel Hill GA. The address is 215 Clisby Austin Rd, Tunnel Hill GA. Using GPS or MapQuest, this address will get you to the Tunnel Hill Heritage Center...and event parking is just across the road from there.
This event is open to all artists using any media. Main gate entry is $5, but there is no other fee for joining in the painting fun.
There will be a tented area for artists who wish to show/display/sell their paintings done on site during this event. There is no commission fee charged. However, anyone wishing to make a donation from any artwork sales may do so to the Tunnel Hill Historical Foundation. This is not necessary…but it is appreciated.
The location features 80+ acres of rolling meadows, trees, a pre-Civil War plantation house and several other structures. Each day there is a Civil War battle reenactment lasting about an hour. Reenactors are in period dress throughout the event.
